Michael Scott's Goodbye - NBC's The Office

Hello!!

The World's Best Boss has retired. He has left Dunder Mifflin Inc. Paper Company. Scranton, PA will never be the same. I know, it is hard to say but Michael Scott (Steve Carell) will no longer be the Scranton Branch boss at the NBC's TV series The Office.

In my humble opinion this means that one of the best characters on TV is gone. Forever.

The last season of The Office (http://www.nbc.com/the-office/) has been outstanding as all the six seasons before. But, the bad news is that the flagship had left. I don't know what impact this will have, but surely it will not be the same.

Even though, the last four episodes were funny and very exciting with the appearances of Jim Carrey and most importantly Will Ferrell postulating for the job vacancy it is hard to watch The Office without Steve Carell.

Michael Scott has been the axis of all the episodes. All of the other characters stories (at least most part of them) go around Michael Scott's jokes, weird situations and homophobic actions among all other awkward situations. Is it clear that, for example, the other big character of the TV series Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) is also strongly linked to Michael Scott. Their friendship and funny "battles" are legendary and one of the key points of the TV series.

So, the obvious thing to say is that the actor that will replace Steve Carell will have a lot of pressure.
But at the same time I am not worried. The Office will be different from now on and that's it. Life changes but not our love for The Office.

Cheers guys and feel free to comment.

P.S. Michael Scott for President!
